I'm a soon to be 55 year old woman, who has just lost 100 lbs. due to WLS. The last 20 years of my life were so stressful and I seemed to have all the wrong habits; like eating once a day because I just didn't have time, not to mention when I did eat, (you guessed it) I ate the wrong foods. And exercise? Well if I didn't have time to eat, you know I didn't have time to workout! I had a heart attack in 2002. It was my wake-up call since I survived it. Trust me, I realize how very blessed I am to be here today. I also have diabetes and high blood pressure which I'm very proud to announce are under control now due to my surgery and lifestyle change. It's been a battle, but I am feeling like a winner everyday! I walk and exercise 4 to 5 days a week and when it comes to food, I eat 3 to 4 times a day and I make healthy choices. I have 8 grandchildren and they play a very important role in my motivation; I want to grow old with them and be in their future.
