Ipod Winner
“Thank you AccentHealth! I always watch the show while I’m waiting to see the doctor – I always learn something new that will help me stay healthy. And, I can’t wait to use my new Ipod during my jogs!”
Hi my name is Stacy and I'm motivated to tell you my story! I've always been health conscious and it bothers me to see young people like myself overweight who won't do anything about it. Heart disease is the number one killer of young people. Obesity can develop slowly into cardiovascular problems - even stroke. Being in the health field, I'm very aware of what could happen as a result of poor eating and exercise habits. So, I've decided to take control of my weight now. I played sports when I was in junior high school and I continued playing into college. But, when I left college 2 years ago the weight started to accumulate...slowly but surely. I was the type of person that said "not me, never will I gain a lot of weight" but I was so wrong. Since I no longer worked out, my muscle began to turn into fat. I would get home late from work and eat. And then then the weight really started to come on. Now, I don't eat after 7:00 P.M., I get adequate sleep, I drink a lot of water and of course I exercise too. I'm at the gym 3-4 times per week and when I can't make it I do a workout at home. This is how I'm gradually getting healthier and toning my body back to where it once was and needs to be.
