Bethany Boatwright from Ohio

Hello, my name is Bethany Boatwright. I live in Ohio, and I am a 33 year old wife and mother of two boys. They are ages 7 and 4. I also work full time. I was hospitalized four times last year after living a life of being completely healthy. I was diagnosed with crohns. I also had a total abdominal hysterectomy and my appendix removed. Talk about a whirlwind. Since then I have had to change everything about my life. I take my medication everyday and on time. I cook healthy meals for my family. We eat broiled or baked fish, chicken, and plenty of vegetables. I also make sure that we all drink lots of fluids and stay active. We go to the amusement park once a week now that it is warm. I take my boys to the park, and keep them involved in sports. We also have a YMCA membership that we utilize. The other healthy choice that I have made is making sure that my family gets enough sleep. These changes have brought us closer and made us healthier. I know I will conquer this disease. Even on days that I am in horrible pain, I just keep on trucking......keep moving that is the key.
