The AccentHealth Medical Advisory Board regularly reviews and screens all content and sponsor messages before they air on AccentHealth. The Board is comprised of the following Board Certified practicing physicians:

Philip Adler, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Pediatrics

St. Joseph's/Tampa General Hospital

Dr. Adler received his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Vermont.

He completed his internship and residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and served as Chief Resident for the Medical Out-Patient Department and as a teaching fellow at Harvard Medical School.

He has published several articles in professional journals and is active in the community, serving as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee for AccentHealth and as a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics for the University of South Florida. Dr Adler is a member of the Hillsborough County Pediatric Society, Hillsborough County Medical Association, Florida Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

H. James Brownlee, Jr., M.D.

Professor and Chairman

Department of Family Medicine University of South Florida, College of Medicine

Dr. Brownlee received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Houghton College in New York and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

He completed his residency in the Williamsport Hospital of Family Practice Residency program in Pennsylvania, then completed a teaching fellowship in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Miami in Florida and a geriatric fellowship at the Geriatric Education Center of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice and of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is the author of numerous books, chapters, and articles in publications such as American Family Physician, Consultant, and Diagnosis and Treatment of Parkinson's Disease—A Handbook for Primary Care Physicians. He is a member of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

Nicholas G. Fallieras, M.D.

Drs. Yelverton, Lerner, and Kilbride

Tampa, Florida

Born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Dr. Nicholas Fallieras has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Tampa since 1977.

He attended Pennsylvania State University where he earned a baccalaureate degree in science in 1962, followed by a master's degree in business administration in 1964. He earned his doctor of medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1972, graduating first in his class. While in medical school, he was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. After completing his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Dr. Fallieras came to Tampa in 1977 to practice with Tampa OB/GYN Associates. He joined Drs. Yelverton, Lerner, and Kilbride in 1989.

Dr. Fallieras holds a Florida medical license and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Florida OB/GYN Society and the Florida Medical Association. He has served as chief of OB/GYN at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital.

Tanya Gold, M.D.

Family Practice

Dr. Tanya Gold is Board Certified in Family Practice and Holistic Medicine.

She received her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Hebrew from Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and served her residency through the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Dr. Gold's clinical interests include Preventative and Holistic Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Women's Health. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Practice, and American Holistic Medical Association.
