The Honors Program, celebrates AccentHealth's 12,000 national practices' commitment to patient education and dedication to maximizing the impact of every patient's office visit. Not only do these practices provide state of the art education to their patients, but they also create an environment of comfort and learning for patients as they wait to see the doctors. In order to enter to win a grand prize of an office waiting room makeover, donated by Steelcase International, offices needed to complete a monthly entry form and answer health-related questions from the AccentHealth show correctly.
Block and Nation, PA, a primary care medical practice with four physicians, is scheduled to receive the Grand Prize makeover this month. The makeover includes a complete waiting room redesign with new painting, furniture, window treatments and accessories from Nurture by Steelcase, the global office furniture leader focussed on making healthcare environments more comfortable, efficient and condusive to the healing process.

The new waiting room layout is specially designed to be patient-centered and improve the overall quality of the office visit. Nurture by Steelcase's philospshy is to focus on healthcare environments as a whole and how the elements within those environments can help make thw waiting room more conducive to a patients' healing and overall well-being.

AccentHealth will air a segment on the waiting room makeover on the January 2010 show. It will feature before and after waiting room shots and explain the new layout.
